Lidgards Sails

Since 1973, Lidgards Sails have been producing world-renowned sails and shade solutions out of a factory in Wairau Valley on the North Shore.

This locally-owned company has manufactured sails for the likes of Dennis Conner, Chris Dickson and Sir Peter Blake, and featured in many competitions and around-the-world campaigns.

Lidgard Sails were part of the action the first time the New Zealand team won and then retained the America's Cup.

The company’s owner is Justin who goes above and beyond to get the job done.

Goatloft collects a skip bin’s worth of waste each week from Lidgards which will normally go to landfill.

Lidgard's are located 12.4km from the Goatloft Studio.

As New Zealand’s largest manufacturers of webbings and bindings, Wt Distributions produce all of Goatloft’s strapping and binding solutions.

With more than 30 years in the business, Wt Distributions are proud of their New Zealand heritage and commitment to manufacturing in New Zealand.

Goatloft are fortunate to be a frequent visitor to their warehouse to pick up webbing and bindings which are used for a variety of purposes throughout the collection.

Wt Distributions are located 10.5km from the Goatloft Studio.

Alan and Helen are the dream team behind the Make Shop.

You can hear their machines humming through the walls as this Karangahape Road business works around the clock.

In 2013, they saw an opportunity for a full digital fabrication production house to service Auckland’s burgeoning design community.

Make Shop look after all of the Goatloft laser cutting and rapid digital fabrication sampling. They are as local as you can get, with a 5-metre walk down the hall to their studio from the Goatloft Studio.

DB breweries, founded in 1929 is one of New Zealand’s most recognised companies. New Zealand’s largest and most recognised brewers, with such an extensive roster of product they are also one of New Zealand’s biggest advertisers.

We are proud to partner with DB breweries to repurpose their billboard skins into functional products and outcomes such as the GoatLoft x Export collaboration and many more in the future.

If you're in Auckland and if you have ever walked past Karangahape Road’s Daily Daily you would have noticed Josh over the years slinging a damn good flat white.

Coffee aside, Josh Harvey has been a dedicated photographer since 2017, and we’re fortunate to collaborate with him on capturing our product shots, press campaigns and unscripted studio moments. He’s a dime in a dozen.

Josh Harvey works in the same studio as Goatloft.
